Oris watch review 2020

For over 100 years Oris has been making watches in Hölstein, Switzerland. Oris has its headquaters still based in the same building, which has in the meantime continually expanded to accommodate the needs of the growing company. From this company location Oris watches are exported all over the world.

Oris watches are purely mechanical and have a distinctive design also featuring the red rotor, the symbol of Oris mechanicals.

Oris watches are very popular with all types of celebrities especially from from Formula One, Diving, Jazz and Aviation who eagerly line up to wear and support Oris’s unique watch collections.

Only a small handful of Swiss watch brands make only mechanical watches and Oris is proud to be one of them. A purely mechanical watch is a creation of immense beauty, designed with mechanical precision and refined with centuries old watch making principles, engineering and craftmanship that have passed down from generation to generation.

An Oris watch is an item built to last and thereby provide a lifetime of enjoyment. Oris watches represent excellent value for money. You should be able to enjoy many years of excellent timekeeping with your Oris watch.

The main product lines of Oris are Oris Motor Sport, Oris Aviation, Oris Culture, Oris Driving.

Among the notable models are the Oris Dizzy Gillespie (from the Oris Jazz collection) and Oris Formula One watches.

The current Oris watch review collection includes the Oris Artelier, Oris Atrix, Oris Rectangualr, Oris ProDiver, Oris Aquis, Oris Big Crown, Oris TTr, Oris TT1, Oris Calobra.

How good are Oris watches?

Oris timepieces are nice and solidly made watches. Most watch enthusiasts would likely agree that their quality is more or less in line with that of TAG Heuer and Longines. Oris watch movements can easily be recognized by their distinctive red rotors.

Oris watches offer lots of value in terms of bang for the buck. Oris delivers luxury watches at a considerably lower point when compared to other Swiss made luxury watch brands with similar features.

How long is the Oris watch warranty?

Oris watches come with a 2-year warranty.

Will Oris Watches Hold Their Value?

Don’t expect Orgs watches to hold their value. They are not to be considered in the same league as Rolex or Patek Philippe by any means. However that does not mean that they are not good watches. Sure they are nice stylish watches which you can enjoy wearing. Don’t expect them to hold there value.

Oris watches are considered to be affordable luxury watches

Some people may regard Oris to be a value-added luxury watch brand with very affordable undertones, whereas top watch collectors with very high-end and more up-market timepiece collections would totally disagree. It is very subjective and really depends on who is looking at it.

We would consider Oris watches to be classed as affordable luxury luxury watches. Oris are definately not to be considered as a high-end luxury watch like  brands such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin or Audemars Piguet.

Moreover they don’t even compare to lower-end luxury watch brands like Rolex or even Omega. Nevertheless they are great Swiss made mechanical watches that are rightly considered to be both high-quality and high-value timepieces.
